These crystals are in their raw form and are a lead chromate mineral which contains lead and chromium. This generally safe to handle but please do NOT consume it, or inhale any particles, and wash hands thoroughly after handling.
Keep the mineral out of direct sunlight to avoid colour fading.
These are very fragile minerals and will naturally shed small particles. All stones will be extra carefully packed but there may be some tiny particles in the package. This is normal.
Crocoite is a lead chromate crystal with a monoclinic crystal system. It forms in long prismatic crystals and normally in clusters. It is also associated with Anglesite, Cerussite, Pyromorphite and Vanadinite. Its colour is normally vibrant red or red/orange colours with yellow sometimes showing with the best deposits found in Tasmania.
