Blue rose quartz is said to be a rare variety of rose quartz which is characterized by its soft blue colour, which is caused by the presence of mineral inclusions in the stone.
While some specimens are fairly blue, others look brownish, greyish and purplish muddle of colours, or even milky. Blue rose quartz can often be associated with a stone that looks a bit like girasol quartz as well as rose quartz. It may even appear to be different colours depending on the angle.
